Kalshi plans to file for CFTC approval for a WTI crude oil perpetual futures contract that would allow continuous trading. This contract would be the first of its kind on a regulated US platform if approved.
Kalshi intends to seek regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for a WTI crude oil perpetual futures contract. The proposed contract would enable trading 24 hours a day, five days a week, without an expiration date. If approved, it would mark the first oil-linked perpetual futures product available on a regulated US platform.
