Nicolas Sauvage has built a portfolio focused on AI technologies since 2019, managing $500 million across four funds. His notable investment includes the AI chip startup Groq, valued at $6.9 billion.

Sauvage shared his investment philosophy at StrictlyVC’s San Francisco event, emphasizing that it takes four years for the best bets to become apparent. He founded the corporate venture arm of TDK Ventures, which has made significant investments in AI infrastructure. Groq, an AI chip startup founded by Jonathan Ross, was one of his early investments, made in 2020, focusing on inference capabilities.
