Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, claims Hyperliquid's HYPE token could make HIP-4 a leading prediction market. The proposal aims to provide users with economic exposure to platform usage, unlike competitors Polymarket and Kalshi.
Hayes stated that Hyperliquid's approach focuses on capturing the upside of platform usage rather than just offering cheaper trading. The Hyperliquid Improvement Proposal (HIP)-4 introduces event trading and is expected to leverage Hyperliquid's large user base and advanced technology. Users holding the $HYPE token can profit directly from their engagement with HIP-4, setting it apart from existing platforms.
